Your journey begins in Tangier, where you’ll head to Chefchaouen, the picturesque blue city nestled in the Rif Mountains. After exploring Chefchaouen’s vibrant medina, continue to Fes, the oldest city in Morocco, to discover its historic palaces, souks, and traditional crafts. Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping to see Ifrane, Azrou, and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga for a magical camel ride and a night under the stars in the Sahara Desert. On your way to the Todra Gorges, you’ll enjoy scenic views and visit local Berber villages.
After experiencing the beauty of Todra Gorges, continue through Dades Valley, passing the Valley of Roses and the cinematic city of Ouarzazate. Itinerary for 11 days from Tangier
Day 1: Arrival-Tanger
Depending on your arrival in Tangier, the best of Morocco Welcome to disembark at the port and begin your tour or transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Tanger-Chefchauen
Travel from Tangier to Chefchaouen, stopping at the traditional villages along the way. Walk around the medina, taking advantage of its famous markets, etc. Overnight at the riad.
Day 3: Chefchouen-Exploring Fes
After breakfast, a trip from Chefchaouen takes you to Fez, the oldest city in Morocco. You will have a half-day in Fez with a guided tour to explore the medina and the renowned Souks, and visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments. Additionally, your tour will take you to a tannery and a ceramic cooperative where you can see authentic Moroccan crafts being made.
Day 4: Fe-Ifrane-Azrou-Midelte-Erfoud -Rissani-Merzouga
As we leave Fes and travel through the Middle Atlas, passing through a cedar forest, we will have the chance to encounter savage apes. To get to Merzouga late in the afternoon and spend the night in a hotel or riad, we will first lunch in Medelet City before continuing until Errachidia Lake and crossing the Ziz valley.
Day 5: Merzouga-Erg Chebbi
After breakfast, we visit the Merzouga dunes, the Tissardamine oasis, and the nomads’ way of life before moving onto the village of an ethnic group that originated from Mali (GNAWA) and listening to their local music. We then visit the MIFISS mines, a desert plateau home to nomads and Berbers, and we stop for lunch along the way. Finally, we return to your accommodation, where you and your companions will be waiting for the most spectacular sunset in the world. Overnight in a nomadic tent.
Day 6: Merzouga-Rissani-Todra Gorges-Dades valley.
The famous cliffs of Todra, is our first stop after visiting the Rissani market, and we’ll continue on to Dades after having a delicious lunch. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Dades-Bouthrar-Skoura-Ait Ben Haddou
After breakfast, we’ll travel through the Dades Valley, which is home to several Berber villages. We proceed along a mountain path known as AMGOUNE, passing by nomadic caves, the Valley of Roses, the Holy City of Morocco, and then Ouarzazate (which includes a kasbah, a film studio, and a museum). We stop for lunch before continuing on to the renowned village of Ait-Ben Haddou. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Ait-Ben-Haddou “ Marrakech
After breakfast, we will visit the Ait-Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO Heritage Site. Gladiator and many other movies have been filmed here. Then we take the road through the High Atlas Mountains crossing Tizi N’ Tichka pass (2260 meters).We stop one the way to take in the stunning panoramic views and lunch. Overnight at the hotel, in Marrakesh.
Day 9: Visiting Marrakech
To get a sense of Moroccan culture and history, you will begin your city tour with a local guide in the morning by visiting the Arabic palaces and the former Koran school. Then Visit the Menara Garden and ‘the Souk ‘to observe the craftspeople from various guilds at work; beautiful tapestries and fabrics; leather; and exotic spices. In the evening, you could enjoy walking in Jemaa El Fna square, which is crowded with tourists, Berber musicians, snake charmers, fortune-tellers, snake charmers, fire-eaters, storytellers. You may also want to taste a special Marrakesh dinner in one of the amazing charming restaurants. Overnight in Marrakesh
Day 10: Marrakech-Casablanca-Rabat-Asilah
We’ll pick you up and drive to Casablanca where you’ll visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the entire world. Afterwards, we’ll leave for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Here you’ll see the Hassan Tower and visit the Oudaya Kasbah. Then we continue to Asilah, where you will have the opportunity to explore the city, and overnight in a hotel/Riad
Day 11: Asilah-Tangier
Beach time in the morning up until carrier pick-up. You will have free time to wander around Asilah’s medina and take in its rich historical legacy. The city center, which is on the Atlantic coast, still displays signs of Portuguese rule during the fifteenth century. The old city walls, which served as witnesses to some of Asilah’s most significant historical events.
We advise you to eat lunch at one of the seaside establishments that specializes in Moroccan seafood. Incredibly delicious. Then drive to Tangier.
