Itinerary for 8-day from Tangier to Marrakech via desert

Day 1: Meet you in tanger port and drive to Chefchaouen

On the first day of your journey, we will meet you at the port and travel through the Rif Highlands and Titouan City, taking in the breathtaking views of the mountains until we arrive at Chefchaouan, one of the most beautiful towns at the foot of the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen medina is a Spanish-style square surrounded by numerous unique arts and crafts boutiques, roof-top restaurants, and cafés where you may spend the night relaxing and admiring the surroundings.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast on the riad, our authentic journey will begin towards Volubilis, passing through Wazan and other rif villages. In Volubilis, we will discover the Roman ruins and learn about the archeological site of Moroccan history. After the ruins, we will shift our way to Meknes, the 17th century heritage, where we will stop for lunch and hang around the historical huge walls of the medina, bab el mansour, and enjoy a visit to Moulay Ismail shrine. Following your excursion to Meknes, we will travel immediately to Fes, where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Exploring Fez

A guided tour will be provided for your entire day in Fez so that you can learn about the city’s medina and renowned souks. Next, you will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments in Fes. A visit to the tannery and the ceramic cooperative will also be included in your tour so you can see authentic Moroccan crafts.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz avalley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Camle ride and night in a camp

After breakfast in your riad, you’ll depart for Merzouga via Midelte and Errachidia. Your journey will begin in Ifran, Morocco’s “Switzerland,” and then continue to Merzouga via Midlete and the Ziz Valley. You will enjoy our company while watching the spectacular landscapes of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains during this excursion. Stopping at the famed cedar forest, Morocco’s largest, where you may see Barbarian apes.

As you approach the city of Errachidia, you’ll see how the scenery transforms to offer clues of the desert.

Your journey continues along the lush Ziz Valley after lunch in Midelte, with stops along the way for panoramic views. Driving through friendly Berber communities, we will arrive in Erfoud and then Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, Morocco’s current ruling family. When you arrive in Merzouga at night, you’ll be greeted with a glass of mint tea before going to your riad. Half-board. (HB)

Day 5: Merzouga – Toudgha Gorges – Dades valley

We’ll get up early to enjoy the sunrise over the Saharan dunes before returning to the hotel on our camels for breakfast and a relaxing shower. Then we drive through the Saghro Mountains. After that, we proceed via Todra Gorges before heading to Dades Valley for dinner and lodging.

Day 6: Dades valley – Roses valley – Ouarzaette – Ait Ben Haddou kasbah – High Atlas mountain – Marrakech

After breakfast in the hotel, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat M’gouna and Ouarzazat. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip in both the valley of roses and cinema city of ouarzazate passing by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains during the beginning of the XXth Century, it used to be one of his stops during his long travel from the Sahara to Marrakech., now it’s of UNESCO heritage sites. After that we will shift the way to cross high Atlas Mountains full of panoramic views and attractive Berber villages all along the way till Marrakesh.

Day 7: Exploring Marrakech

After breakfast, you can start exploring Marrakesh” the red city of Morocco”. Your guide will ensure that you see the most important places of historical and cultural interest, including the Saadian Tombs; the Palace of El Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. Lunch is at a restaurant near the square, and then in the afternoon you can visit the “Majorelle Gardens” and Koutoubia tower. Overnight in Hotel/Riad

Day 8: Transfer to the airport
