1st day: Marrakech exploring
You will start the 8 days trip from Marrakech to desert by city tour, it is set to explore the city, You will discover the Saadian Tombs which represent Moorish architecture, the Palace of the Bahia, the historic Menara: a magnificent pool surrounded by flower beds, the Koutoubia Minaret, identical to the la Giralda tower in Sevilla, Spain. Lunch will be taken in one of the finest traditional restaurants in Marrakech, visiting Jamaa El Fna square. Overnight at your Riad.2nd day: Marrakech “ Telouet “ Ait Ben Haddou “ Ouarzazate (247 km)
After breakfast you depart for Ouarzazate over the High Atlas Mountains through the Tichka Pass. Keep you will see the Berber villages tucked away in the mountain side. After 3 hours you arrive to ait Benhaddou, site classified world heritage of UNESCO and one of the world’s most magnificent Kasbahs; this setting has been used for more films than any other location in Morocco ( The Mummy, Lawrence of Arabia.), continuation towards Ouarzazate (visit of the studios of the cinema). The journey of this day is to travel through the Draa Valley to Zagora crossing the magic palm plantation, an occasion to visit one of oldest Kasbahs. Then lunch in Zagora before driving to visit Tamegroute. The village is known for the splendid library created in the 17th century when manuscripts of Coran are preserved illuminated, written on the skin of gazelle. There are also books of history and medicine. Overnight in the hotel in Zagora.4th day: Zagora “ M’harech “ Ouzina
After an early breakfast, you will depart from Zagora and travel across the barren desert region, stopping for lunch in the Oasis M’harech in the middle of the desert near the settlement of Tafraoute, before continuing to the Ramlia oasis and arriving in Ouzina at the end of the day.5th day: Ouzina “ Taouz “ Begaa “ Merzouga
Departure from Ouzina towards the destination of Merzouga, passing by Taouz to visit rock carvings.Then continue towards Begaa village, a small urban area in the desert. Arriving at the Erg Chebbi sand dune field in Merzouga before sunset. Spend the night in a hotel near the dunes (to make an excursion on the dunes to benefit from the sunset over the dunes).6th day: Merzouga
This stage is the most important of this tour, we will get to learn more about the life of Nomads in our off-road excursion to the breathtaking Erg Chebbi, where we will visit the Nomad families who migrate and live in tents. Afterwards, we will attend an African folkloric music dance performance in Khamlia village (former slaves of the sultan of Marrakech in 1590), and walk in a desert oasis where we learn about the irrigation system of the area, then visit the lake with the pink flamingos in full desert. Late in the afternoon, you will mount camels for what is the highlight of many people’s trip, camel ride, and an overnight stay in a traditional Berber tent.7th day: Merzouga “ Gorges of Todra “ Gorges of Dades
We take the road and pass by the splendid palm plantation of the valley of Ziz in Rissani, Erfoud and Jorf, until arriving at the Todra gorges. Make a walk then at the Gorges along the river before taking a break to relish the panoramic views of the old mud berber villages overlooking the valley. Then to continue to Dades gorges.8th day: Gorges of Dades “ Kalaat M’gouna “ Sekoura “ Marrakech
Departure from Dades to join Marrakech passing by the Valley of Roses and one thousands Kasbah road, the former is famous for its roses and rose products), then to make a stopover in the oasis of Skoura to visit the AMRIDILE kasbah, then Ouarzazate and by the collar Tichka to arrive at Marrakech.Good To Know about this 8-day
